January/February News

WE ARE SO EXCITED TO BE BACK IN SCHOOL!!!!!

During the months of January and February we will be very busy.

Our goal in sixth grade is to determine our science fair project topic, set up our log book, and complete our research paper and bibliography by the end of the year.  In Seventh grade students begin in August to work on the experimentation and documentation of the project which will be submitted to the Fair before Christmas.

December News

As December rolls around our Long Term Projects were again amazing.  Since it does count as 10% of our quarterly grade it is nice to be able to do something that is fun.  Besides being fun we actually are learning something!

Earth Science for the Month of October!

This month began with our Long Term Projects.  Every single student turned a project in which was fantastic.  The projects were all very unique and we enjoyed listening to them as well as playing the games that were made.

We go on to Chapter 15 - The Atmosphere as we begin the new quarter in our classes.  The subject matter continues to become a bit more abstract.

Earth Science for the Month of September!

We are off to a great start in Earth Science! We have had our first Chapter completed and our first major lab and test are out of the way. We now know what to expect in the future. Now it is on to our next Chapter (Chapters 13 & 14) which deal with Oceanography. We are learning how to make outlines of the sections and we will do this together for Chapter 13. Many of us have never made an outline before and this will help us when doing our research paper for science fair. We plan on a hands-on lab with these chapters which will be most enjoyable.
