In "La clase de español," we are learning about The human body "El cuerpo humano." There will be homework or a test every week. The tests are cumulative, so please study all the "vocabulario." After two quarters of learning, we will make life-size posters of our own human body. Students will label and decorate the posters. This is fun project where students can display their knowledge and artistic abilities. You can start the brainstorming now.
- FOURTH GRADE
In "La clase de español," 4th graders are using Spanish textbooks and workbooks. This is a new experience for them. Please feel free to contact me if you have any questions!

In "La clase de español,"
In "La clase de español," we are learning about the Food Pyramid "Pirámide de Alimentos." First, we will learn about the Fruit Group "Las Frutas." On September 8, 2009, we had a fiesta and tried some of "Las frutas." We used "piñas" and "cocos" to make 'Piña Coladas." We also tasted "plátano" chips. These are salted banana chips. Finally, we made salsa from "tomates." Be sure to ask your second grader about the "frutas" he/she tried. The students will also bring home a booklet of the fruits "Las Frutas." Please practice the "vocabulario" with your student.
