Sr. Roberta's January Message

January, 2012

Dear Parents,

Together Catholic Schools nurture a way of life.  St. Peter the Apostle has done this for 60 years.  The school has its roots and humble beginnings in the social hall of Nativity Church and St. Mary's Home.  It was established in 1951 under the guidance of the Sisters of Mercy.  It grew in 1958 from K through to the 8th grade.  In 1980 the school moved to Wilmington Island and has continued to grow in its Academics and Service to the Community.

During the month of January, all of the Catholic Schools throughout the country will be gearing up for the celebration of Catholic Schools Week which happens from January 29th to February 4th.  The purpose of this week is to praise the identity and quality of Catholic Schools.

A special Open House will be held January 26th from 9:30 to 11:30 for Preschool 3 & 4, and Kindergarten.  In the evening it will be opened to grades 1 through 8 from 5:30 to 7:30pm.  All are invited and welcomed to attend and see the wonderful things happening at St. Peter the Apostle School.

May the grace of our Lord, Jesus Christ continue to bless our school and families at St. Peter the Apostle School.

In Christ,

Sister Roberta
